ABOUT

Pt. Salil Bhatt is an Indian classical musician known for his deeply expressive style and meditative approach to sound. A disciple and son of Padma Shri & Grammy Award winner Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, he represents a continuation of one of India’s most respected musical traditions, rooted in the guru–shishya parampara.

His music reflects a seamless blend of tradition and introspection—where raga becomes not just a performance, but an immersive experience. Through concept-driven works like Panch Tattva, he explores the connection between sound, nature, and inner awareness.

Pt. Salil Bhatt has performed across India and internationally, including prestigious festivals such as the Chicago World Music Festival, Adelaide International Guitar Festival, and major folk festivals across Canada. He has also performed at distinguished global platforms including the Bavarian Parliament (Germany) and the Icelandic Parliament, and for eminent audiences including Queen Elizabeth II.

His contributions have been recognised with honors such as the Maharana Mewar Foundation Award, Abhinav Kala Samman, and Mahakal Sangeet Ratan, along with international recognitions including a Juno Award nomination.

Through his artistry, he continues to expand the reach of Indian classical music—making it accessible, immersive, and deeply relevant for contemporary global audiences.
